Create a Geofence from your Dashboard
Follow the steps below to create a custom Geofence for your assets.
Step 1: From your Dashboard, head to Geofences > Add New Geofences
Step 2: Search for the address where you want to set up the Geofence in the 'Find Address' search bar.
Top tip: As you type in the address, it will automatically bring up addresses similar to what you are typing in. Select the correct address when it appears in the results.
Step 3: When you have selected an address, the Geofence will appear on the map. The default shape for your Geofence is a red circle. If you would like to change the shape of the Geofence, select the 'Type of Geofence' drop-down and select 'Polygon Geofence'.
From here you can draw the shape of your Geofence by clicking on areas of the map to create map markers. If you'd like to move one of the map markers, select and drag them to the correct spot.
(Optional) Step 4: You can also change the colour of your geofence by selecting the 'Geofence Colour' drop-down. There are other colours such as aqua, blue, green, lime, purple, and silver to choose from.
Follow the steps above to create more geofences.
Step 6: When you are finished creating your polygon geofence, click the blue Save button to save your changes.
Create a Geofence from a Stop Report
A Geofence can be created directly from a Stop Report that you have created, making it easy to create Geofences from points of interest as they appear in your reports.
Please note: This only works on Stop Reports exported as Web Format.
Step 1: From your Web Version Stop Report, simply click on a location you wish to create a Geofence, then click the 'Create Geofence' link in the top right of the map view to be taken to the Create Geofence page.
Step 2: Follow steps 3 to 6 from the 'Create a Geofence from your Dashboard' instructions above to create and save your new geofence.
