The Usage Report helps businesses determine the distance and time travelled during work hours by dividing vehicle activity into:
- Working hours
- Non-working hours
After selecting your work start and finish times, the report displays:
- Kilometres travelled during work hours
- Kilometres travelled outside work hours
- Time travelled within work hours
- Time travelled outside work hours
- Total kilometres travelled for the day
- Percentage of travel completed within and outside work hours
This report is ideal for:
- Monitoring business versus personal vehicle use
- Reviewing after-hours vehicle activity
- Supporting payroll and operational reporting
- Improving fleet visibility and compliance
- Managing overnight and shift-based operations
New Enhancement: Reverse Time Support for Night Shifts
The Usage Report has now been enhanced to better support overnight and night-shift reporting scenarios.
Previously, reports using time ranges that crossed midnight — for example 7:00pm–6:00am — could incorrectly include trips occurring outside the selected reporting window.
This behaviour has now been corrected so that only trips occurring within the selected overnight timeframe are included.
What’s Improved?
The report now:
- Correctly supports overnight reporting periods crossing midnight
- Accurately filters trips within the selected reporting timeframe
- Improves reporting flexibility for after-hours operations
- Provides more accurate visibility of overnight vehicle activity
This enhancement is particularly useful for organisations operating:
- Healthcare fleets
- Emergency services
- Security patrols
- Field service teams
- Logistics and transport fleets operating overnight
Support for flexible start and end time ranges has also been reviewed across related reporting functionality.
Additional Enhancement: Utilisation Reporting Improvements
The Utilisation and Utilisation Summary reports now include configurable Expected Working Hours functionality.
This enhancement automatically calculates vehicle utilisation percentages based on:
- Vehicle use time
versus - Expected operational hours
This removes the need for customers to manually manipulate data within spreadsheets or internal systems, making monthly reporting workflows more streamlined, accurate, and efficient.
Important Reporting Information
Please note, if a trip starts within work hours but finishes outside the selected work-hour timeframe, portions of the trip may not be allocated across both reporting periods.
The report is designed to classify trips based on the selected reporting timeframe.
