Introducing the Utilisation Report
The Utilisation Report is one of the most comprehensive reports available in Argus Tracking, providing a detailed daily breakdown of vehicle utilisation and operational activity.
This report helps fleet teams better understand how vehicles are being used across the business by displaying key metrics such as:
- Use time
- Drive time
- Stop time
- Vehicle utilisation percentages
- Expected working hours
- Group and directory information
The Utilisation Report can be used to:
- Provide a complete breakdown of vehicle usage for each day
- Compare vehicle usage through drive and stop times
- Identify over-utilised and under-utilised vehicles
- Improve operational visibility and reporting accuracy
- Reduce manual spreadsheet processing for monthly reporting
New Enhancements to the Utilisation Reports
The Utilisation (Daily) and Utilisation Summary reports have now been enhanced to help healthcare fleet teams reduce manual spreadsheet processing and improve monthly reporting efficiency.

The latest enhancements include:
- A new Groups column displaying asset group memberships
- A free-text Directory field available within Vehicle Profiles and reports
- Configurable Expected Working Hours settings with in-app guidance
- Automatic Utilisation Percentage calculations based on vehicle use time versus expected working hours
- Enhancements applied across Web, PDF, and CSV report formats

Additional Enhancement to Utilisation Reporting
The Utilisation and Utilisation Summary reports now include configurable Expected Working Hours functionality.
This enhancement automatically calculates vehicle utilisation percentages based on:
- Vehicle use time
versus - Expected operational hours
This removes the need for customers to manually manipulate utilisation data within their own internal spreadsheets or systems, making monthly operational reporting more streamlined and accurate.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: From your Argus Dashboard, navigate to: Reporting → Utilisation Report
Step 2: Select the asset or group you would like to report on.
Step 3: Choose a date range using one of the preset options:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last Week
- Last Month
- Custom Date Range
Step 4: Select or deselect the required day ranges:
- Monday
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
Step 5: Input the desired reporting time range.
Step 6: Choose your preferred report format:
- Web Version
- Printer Friendly PDF
- CSV Export
Step 7: Click the blue Run Report button to generate the report.
Additional Reporting Information
Expected Working Hours
The report now supports configurable Expected Working Hours to help businesses more accurately measure vehicle utilisation.
Utilisation percentages are automatically calculated by comparing:
- Vehicle usage time
against - Expected operational hours
This provides greater insight into fleet efficiency and vehicle allocation.
Directory Field
A new Directory field can now be added to Vehicle Profiles and displayed in reports.
This free-text field is useful for:
- Cost centre references
- Department identifiers
- Healthcare ward or region allocation
- Internal fleet categorisation
CSV Export Improvements
CSV exports have been improved with:
- Cleaner formatting
- Better column ordering
