What are Smart eRUCs?

Smart eRUCs (electronic Road User Charges) are digital displays that replace traditional paper RUC licenses in your fleet vehicles. They make it easier to manage your road user charges and help ensure your fleet stays compliant with New Zealand’s RUC regulations.

Additional Notes:

  • You can enter custom values for RUC units to buy (blue box) and purchase RUCs X km prior to expiry (green box) to suit your needs.
  • Please note that 1 RUC unit = 1,000 km.
  • The purchase RUCs X km prior to expiry setting enables automatic RUC repurchasing when your remaining balance drops below the specified distance.
  • There’s no need to manually save—any changes you make are saved and applied automatically.
